Day 01 – Quelccaya Glacier Tour, Suyuparina – Full Day
Departure very early from Cusco (approximately 3:00 a.m.) heading south, crossing high Andean landscapes and rural communities until reaching the district of Checacupe. We continue to Phinaya, where we enjoy breakfast before traveling to the Suyuparina pass, one of the highest communities in Cusco. From here, a gradual hike of approximately 15 minutes begins toward the foothills of the largest tropical glacier in the world. Along the route, you will observe lagoons, curious formations on the glacier wall, small ice caves, lakes, snow-capped mountains, alpacas, and an almost untouched natural environment. Upon arrival at the glacier, free time for photos, guide explanations, and contemplation of the impressive glacier front. We then return along the same route to Phinaya for lunch, followed by the return journey to Cusco, arriving approximately between 8:00 and 9:00 p.m.
